My inspirations
To be honest, I did not have interest in song-writing when I was a kid, but when I started to record an album, I began my interest on it. When I was in the last record company, I learned that the process of making an album - first, collect a bunch of demo songs; second, find a lyricist; finally, find a producer and walk into the studio to record an album. And I thought the hardest part is the songs present may not be my cup of tea, and the last record company and I could not agree on the quality of the songs. With a little push from my friends, I tried to write my first song. The first step is always difficult, because to have my very own song, I need to have recognition by others. Then, I wrote three songs and got my ex-colleagues to listen. Afterward, they said they are quite good. So I think I can move on and try some more, and even got myself a backing band. Now, I begin to know how to record demos, write songs while learning.
"Thank You"
It's a song to say thank you, to my parents, and to those who helped me. Musically, it is more of pop rock, with some elements that I loved.
"Believe It"
It is not ballad like "I Believe", but more about the mind of the youth nowadays - the rebellion element. "Why don't I like schools? Why should I dye my hair?" It tells "this is what I want" belief that the youngsters hold onto. It is an up-tempo song with English lyrics.
"Jump Off"
When you listen to the verse, you would feel relaxed. The lightness of the verse even makes you feel like you are on a trip. But when it reaches the chorus, it turns out to be a heavy song. The pressure of living pushed the man in the story to have illusions, which he is in doubt of anything and everything. Some of my friend had that kind of experience before. It is a song with a twist.
