Peter Jackson's The Beatles Documentary Gets Title & Release Date

Peter Jackson's The Beatles documentary is now officially titled, The Beatles: Get Back, and coming to cinemas on September 4 in US and Canada. (Well, only if cinemas are open by then.) The new film features fully restored extensive and never-before-seen footage of the band's Get Back/Let It Be recording sessions in January 1969, which included their last public performance, that is the famous rooftop concert.

Let It Be was shot on 16mm and blown up to 35mm and originally released in 1970. According to the same press release, a fully restored version of the original film will be available at a later date. Our guess would be part of the album's 50th anniversary campaign.
