Searching [2018]

Using video calls to tell story in a film is nothing new, we have seen it in horror films like Unfriended before. However, Searching feels real and relatable by making use of video calls, spy cams, online clips and news clips to tell a compelling girl-gone-missing story. It is also carefully structured so the audience feels interested in every step in the father's detective work.
