Björk's multimedia album Biophilia is the first ever app album and the app is now available on iTunes Store (and it's available in our Hong Kong store too; finally we got some more nice music app). Once opened, it will play an introduction by David Attenborough, which you can watch below as well.
Then you will enter a 3D interface where you can listen to "Cosmogony". Clicking on a song/app's name and you can read an introduction of it, and purchase it (when available). The current available to purchase is "Crystalline" which contains a game and the song.
The traditional album (meaning CD) will arrive on September 26 which will be available on standard CD, digipak CD, a limited edition with the Biophilia manual, and an ultimate edition which costs £500. For £500, you will get:
The Biophilia Ultimate Edition, presented in a lacquered and silkscreened oak-hinged lid case, consists of the Biophilia Manual along with 10 chrome-plated tuning forks, silkscreened on one face in 10 different colors, stamped at the back, and presented in a flocked tray. Each fork is adjusted to the tone of a Biophilia track, covering a complete octave in a non-conventional scale.
