Castanha

The film explores the life, loves and fabulations of Joao Castanha, a middle-aged nightclub legend in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Castanha, a gay cross-dressing performer on the local scene, shares histories and legends of his life and loves, weaving together "realities" and captivating stories amid interactions with his elderly mother, Cecilia, his friends and his beloved dogs.
