Hordes of labour trying to get home for the Lunar New Year has become a phenomenon in major Chinese cities. In-fluxing into the rail-road stations trying to board the first available trains, many bitter-sweet stories arise. In Beijing, a foreman is trying to get a high school principal's new home ready. Unforeseeable hurdles cause the delay of work that makes the principal angry and suffer from a heart attack. The doctor who treats him is in a heated argument with his wife about going home for the parents. In order to please the doctor, the foreman agrees to buy train tickets for him...
