Tony Scott 1944-2012

Tony Scott jumped to his death on Sunday (August 19, US Time) from the Vincent Thomas Bridge near Long Beach, California, US.

According to officials, the director climbed a fence on the south side of the bridge and leapt off around 12:30pm. Police reportedly found a suicide note inside Scott's black Toyota Prius, which was parked on the bridge.

Tony Scott is known for directing films like The Hunger, Top Gun, Beverly Hills Cop II, Days Of Thunder, The Last Boy Scout, True Romance, Enemy Of The State, Man On Fire, The Taking Of Pelham 1 2 3, and recently, 2010's Unstoppable.

Scott and his older brother Ridley Scott (director of Alien, Blade Runner, , and ) together produced films and TV series like and . Their latest project is A&E's four-hour medical thriller , due to air next month in US.
