Hipsters

This runaway hit musical has impressive visuals and energy aplomb. Set in 1955, young hipsters, who grow tired of the drab gray life around them, become influenced by American jazz. From their new outrageous fashion sense to the slang lingo they adopt, this is nostalgia gone swingin' - at least until some get arrested and others flee the country. Still, the harsh reality of life during those times takes a back seat to the film's sheer dazzle and charm.
