A story that recounts the life of Serge Gainsbourg, spanning from young Lucien Ginzburg in occupied Paris of the forties to the poet, composer and singer celebrated in the whole world. The film explores the artistic itinerary of a young man in love with painting until the international recognition of his music whose avant-gardism turned him into a true French cultural icon. The film also depicts his complex adult life through his turbulent love affairs.
