Chen Tan (Aaron Kwok), a private detective in Thailand, travelled to Malaysia following the clues in a photo. There he looked for a man called Chai, who might help reveal the truths behind the murder of his parents 30 years ago.

Chai’s adopted daughter Zhiwei (Jiang Yi Yan) was an orphan of Chinese descent. Under Zhiwei's guidance, Chen finally found Chai. But Chai said the man in the photo, Pang, a drug dealer, died quite some time ago. Meanwhile, Chen was informed that his home was broken into. Chen then rushed back to Thailand.
