We Are X [2016]

For a legendary band like X Japan, their ups and downs only add to their long list of mythology, and documentary We Are X helps the audience and fans who are not familiar with them understand the band's history. Throughout the film, you learn it takes full energy and obsession in chasing perfection lead to their amazing work. It is also emotional to see the band members talk about the late members hide and Taiji and the brainwash of frontman Toshi. All in all, this is a film about friendship and love in music.
