Crawl

Published Published over 4 years ago by Leslie Cheung

With years of watching horror films, it is seldom for us to react a tiny bit to expected jump-scare scenes, but Crawl has sent us off the chair several times. For a nature survival thriller film, Crawl gives us some exceptional jump-scare sequences while not shying away with the body horror effects involving many amputations. According to our reptile expert friend, the film shows is an accurate and authentic way of how crocodile bites and twists when it takes on its prey, which gives us more chills watching it.

Crawl also takes another merit by breaking the gender stereotypes by having a daughter saving her dad, who is very much in a terrible situation. With a slow build-up, Crawl successfully multiplies the tension when all hell breaks loose.
