Along With The Gods: The Two Worlds

Published Published over 6 years ago by Leslie Cheung

Along With The Gods: The Two World tells the story of a firefighter's journey in the hell after he died a heroic life. He needs to travel the 7 levels of hell and stand trial for his wrong-doings in life.

At first glance, the plot looks like going in a traditional direction, but then it branches out with a twist or two. The greatest man in 19 years, who only does good deeds, may not be what he looks like. The final twist lies in the family forgiveness that opens the floodgate of tears.

The special effects are very good that it sets up a believable afterlife, showing the punishment of each level of hell. Moreover, the effects have enhanced the fight scenes, that look like it is a live-action Dragon Ball film.

Like Train To Busan, or even The Host before it, Along With The Gods: The Two World carries the same kind of feelings that only Asian films can deliver. Even when worlds collide, it is all about family and a mother's love towards her children.

Even if it deals with a heavy theme of afterlife and family bond, there are many funny moments, and do not miss the short stinger to the film!
