The Last Moose Of Aoluguya

// Plot_Synopsis

Following Aoluguya, Aoluguya... and Yuguo And His Mother, Gu Tao's latest documentary chronicles five years in the lives of one Ewenki tribe family deep in the Aoluguya forest prior to a forced relocation. The Last Moose completes a trilogy focused on the northern Chinese ethnic minority, whose fates were irrevocably altered with the introduction of a government ban on hunting and new reservation homes as the main character, Weijia, grapples with rampant alcoholism. In all, a darkly comical, infuriating and heartbreaking film.
