The Family Friend

Geremia De Geremei is 70, a usurer, ugly, filthy, rich yet tight-fisted, cynical and ironic tailor who shares a block flat with his bedridden mother near the Tyrrhenian Sea. He has a sick and obsessional relation with everything: his mother, his father, money and women. When a cash-strapped couple approach him for a loan to pay for nuptials of their daughter Rosalba, Geremia finds himself helplessly obsessed by her stunning beauty and attempts to take advantage of his self-proclaimed position as 'a family friend' to get as close to her as possible.
