The Furthest End Awaits

Eight years after her father disappeared in the sea, Misaki (Nagasaku Hiromi) returns to her hometown at the tip of Japan's Noto Peninsula to start a new life. She transforms the old boathouse her father left her into a small café and becomes friends with her neighbour Eriko (Sasaki Nozomi), a single mother of two children who works as a hostess. Over time, the two women and Eriko's children form a tentative family unit at the edge of the world.
