August Winds

In an idyllic, yet isolated coastal village embodying rural Brazil, a young girl from the city struggles to adjust to life at the ends of the Earth. She is involved with a young co-worker from the coconut plantation, and together they go fishing, have sex and test the limits of their impoverished situation. As the rising tides threaten to engulf the community at any moment, these young souls wrestle with life, death and other natural forces in the stifling summer heat.
