My Friend Victoria

Victoria is an impoverished black girl who becomes infatuated with the wealthy white Savinet family who show her a glimmer of hospitality. A brief affair with their son Thomas leads to calamitous circumstances for the motivated yet misguided Victoria, whose tempestuous experiences are narrated by her childhood friend Fanny.
