An aging Korean school teacher caps off the celebration of his retirement by announcing that he wants a divorce from his dominating wife. But a snowstorm traps the couple and their adult children in their dwelling for two nights, revealing long hidden divisions and tensions made more intense by the very lack of communication, of reason, that lies at the heart of this dysfunctional tableau.
