Fearing to witness the death of his dying grandfather, 14-year-old David refuses to visit him in the hospital, leaving his mother alone with her father every night. It is hard for a teenager to accept that death is not as distant as one might believe. With his grandfather's death, David realises that no one is immortal for life and he will not be young forever, he is afraid to grow up, he refuses to grow up. He wants to find a way to avoid being an adult as well as the man of the house, but the more he tries to escape adulthood, the faster it is happening.
