Inside The Chinese Closet documents the desperate attempt of gays and lesbians in China to live a double life in order to please their parents. Andy keeps meeting lesbian women in order to find a perfect wife of convenience to bear his child. Cherry has a gay husband, but the journey of having a baby is not as easy as she thought it would be. Through the lens of the director, audience gets a glimpse of the contemporary life confronting gay people in China today.
