El Mar La Mar

At first, we are lost in landscapes of darkness, solitude, and menace as disembodied voices share fragmented stories against a blowing wind. Disoriented, we begin to assemble the pieces and the paths - water bottles with encouraging messages, abandoned clothing, helicopters and patrols converge on a sere landscape of desert and mountains. Crossing the border from Mexico to the U.S. as we have never experienced it before: not via narrative but in abandonment, disorientation and fears of migration itself.
