Citizen Jane: Battle For The City

// Plot_Synopsis

Citizen Jane is the tale of a visionary woman who fought the powers-that-be for the people. Jane Jacobs is an activist and writer who battled to save New York City neighbourhoods from the aggressive redevelopment plans of Robert Moses. When no one would rebel against the absolute power of the elite, Jacobs questioned orthodoxy at a time when women were not welcome in those environments.

In her book The Death and Life of Great American Cities, Jane Jacobs helped change the way inhabitants look at urban living. Jacobs envisioned a city not about buildings, but about people.
