Well-worn tales of TV soap-opera mayhem get a fresh comic twist when Salam, an unemployed Palestinian man, stumbles into a job writing a popular prime-time drama of romance and intrigue set during the Six-Day War. Things grow complicated when an Israeli officer, who oversees the West Bank checkpoint Salam must pass through every day, dictates the show's plot to impress his wife and lift his own inflated ego.
