Torn Memories Of Nanjing

// Plot_Synopsis

Though documentaries about the Nanking Massacre have proliferated in recent years, Torn Memories Of Nanjing takes a methodical and factual approach in order to capture the undeniable facts. Producer Matsuoka Tamaki, a teacher who has extensively interviewed Japanese war veterans, contrasts and compares the specific events during the occupation from both the Chinese and Japanese points of view, thus ascertaining the levels of atrocities committed. Some of these accounts are chilling due to their frankness, but the result is fascinating, enlightening and praiseworthy.
