Russian Lessons

// Plot_Synopsis

What begins as an investigative expedition becomes a searing journey into the heart of war in the angry, heart-wrenching Russian Lessons. Though it starts off with the latest war between Georgia and Russia, the documentary also touches upon Beslan and the former conflict in Abkhazia. The way Nekrasov (Rebellion: The Litvinenko Case) and Konskaya, a married couple, worked is genius: they traveled toward the frontline from opposite sides, with Nekrasov coming from the Georgian south and Konskaya from the Russian north. Konskaya sadly passed away before the film was finished.
