La Comédie Humaine

A professional hit man from China literally falls into the lap of a hapless screenwriter with four eyes, and the two become so tight that four-eyes starts telling his new friend sob stories. Naturally it involves a woman. She's beautiful and she loves him but when she has tantrums she beats him up, which happens quite often.
