Eastern Plays

Eastern Plays begin like a typically gritty Eastern European slice-of-life, but racial divide, drug addiction and violence culminate into an absorbing character study about two brothers. Sympathetic and finally uplifting, the film is dedicated to the lead actor Christo Christov, who passed away after the film's shoot. Christov plays a frustrated artist who witnesses a racial crime against a Turkish family, only to find out that his younger brother is one of the perpetrators.
