Yellow Kid

Though boxing stories have long been a staple of Japanese manga, Yellow Kid takes a neorealist approach to blur the lines between fantasy and reality. The film begins with Tamura, a neophyte boxer, being fired from his job. By chance he meets up with high school friend Hattori, a manga artist who wants to model his new character, Yellow Kid, on Tamura.
