This Longing

Set in the border town of Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Sidi, a secondary student, and his father Adman stay in an estate. They both unknowingly cope with the sudden absence of a key female figure in their lives. Everyday, Sidi seems like waiting for something. He is exploring a brand new world in front of him. In a probable separate story, a boyish young woman returns to the estate to photograph the backdrop of her past. The original Malaysian title is a Malay saying "like the owl misses the moon" a reflection of unrequited (and unconsummated) longing.
