Honey

The third time proves the sweetest for Honey, the Golden Bear and Ecumenical Jury Prize Winner at the Berlin Film Festival this year. Semih Kaplanoglu's trilogy reaches its beautifully contemplative conclusion with protagonist/poet Yusuf depicted as a 6-year-old boy. Though Yusuf communicates well with his bee-keeping father due to their strong, affecting emotional bond, at school the child stutters and is tongue-tied. But when father fails to return from a mission, he must summon his courage to go into the mysterious, lush forest.
