The late Klaus Dinger and Michael Rother formed Neu! back in 1971. The duo subsequently released three albums together and hailed as the krautrock pioneer. Michael Rother has announced that a vinyl boxset containing all of their recording albums will be released on May 10 via Grönland Records.
Apart from Neu! (1972), Neu! 2 (1973) and Neu! 75 (1975), the limited edition boxset will also include Neu! 86 (aka Neu! 4) and Neu! 72 - the two album which were illegally released by Dinger in the late 90s though Japanese label Captain Trip. Neu! 86 was original recorded by the duo during 1985-1986 and recently Rother re-work some of the material on it.
The boxset will also come with a vinyl-sized 36-page book including Neu! photos by Anton Corbijn and Peter Lindbergh, a Neu! t-shirt, a stencil of the Neu! logo and a download code to get every albums onto your computer or iPod.
