Sweet Rush

Legendary Polish filmmaker Andrzej Wajda was supposed to make this newest film with his Man Of Marble actress Krystyna Janda and his long-time cinematographer Edward Klosinski. But Klosinki, who was also Janda's husband, died suddenly. As such, Sweet Rush morphed from a coming-of-age period drama to a testament to film-making and mortality, opening with a heartfelt monologue by Janda herself. Though the gravity of death abounds, Wajda manages to supply the film with a playful touch.
