Clara

In 1850, Robert Schumann settled down in Duesseldorf with his wife Clara and their children as a musical director. For Schumann and his family, it turns out to be a bad decision. Instead of an acclaimed concert pianist, Clara is reduced to the role of a housewife. That is, until she meets and falls for the young, brilliant Johannes Brahms. Robert, who is sick and suffering from severe depression, attempts to commit suicide. When Robert dies two years later, all the obstacles seem to have disappeared for Clara and Johannes. Clara, however, refuses to marry again. But she will go on playing Robert and Johannes' music.
