Plot Synopsis
The Silent Manistone tells the deceptively charming tale of a young monk who visits his family over the New Year, only to become enchanted by a VCD television serial of The Journey to the West. Pema Tseden would later adapt The Silent Manistone into his first feature, The Silent Holy Stones.
