Plot Synopsis
An encounter with a mother dog that lost her sense of trust.
But we were determined to save that little creature's life. Based on a true story, a deeply moving film filled with tender love.
That dog has quickly grown in an environmentfilled with the generous love of old couples, but they both died all too soon, the dog was no longer loved by humans, and she became all alone. She used her strength to survive in the midest of nature and soon give birth of puppies.
Shoji is employed by the Public Health Center, since his wife passed away, he has done his best to raise his two children. After encountering the solitary mother dog that risks her life to protect her puppies, Shoji makes a decision to save the little creature's life. She had completely closed her hearts towards humans, but was given the name "Himawari" which means "Sunflower".
