First Time 2012

Shi (Angelababy), a college student with terminal muscle illness, comes across with her long-lost high school classmate Gong (Mark Chao) in the park while Gong is giving a rock live show. Gong has a crash on Shi with the mixed feelings of lost and found. Shi also falls for Gong immediately.

Side effects of the medicine that Shi has been taking causes short term memory loss to Shi. In order to memorize the moments with Gong, Shi records everything between them in a cassette recorder. Shi always has a dream of being a dancer but her muscle illness stops her from chasing her dream. Gong wants to be supportive so he encourages Shi to sign up for a dance competition despite the protest of her worrying mom.

The more the two know each other, the more Shi find out the reason Gong's sometimes unhappy that lying underneath in Gong’s life. She lights up Gong's world up by helping mend the relationship between Gong and his father.

Realising her daughter has been preparing for the dance competition all along, Shi's mom storms at Gong for putting Shi's life in danger but only to find out that the young couple are deep in love with each other. After going through all the messages left on her daughter's cassettes, Shi’s mother finally realizes what an angel her daughter is to her. What Shi does is not because she is blind in love and ignorant to her mother, but is because she knows her mother’s mind just too well.
