Wrinkles

Based on Paco Roca's comic of the same title, Wrinkles is an animation about aging which portrays the friendship between two aged gentlemen shut away in a care home. Increasingly lost in his own memories, Emilio is a retired bank manager who is in the early stages of Alzheimer. His roommate, the unmarried and childless Miguel is a witty and sometimes mischievous character, uncompromising to the destiny of ending life in a boring routine of "sleeping, eating and shitting". Slowly, friendship is turned into comradeship. The stark landscape of aging in the care house is transformed into one of magic surrealism of adventures, calculated resistance and unexpected comedy.
